They emigrated to central New York during the potato famine. One of the brothers married a Kenney from Castlecomer, their Bowe daughter married a Walsh in central New York. My sense is that these families knew each other in close geographic proximity in Ireland and stayed in touch as emigrants in central New York, but apart from the Bowe brother marrying the Kenney from Castlecomer, this is speculation just based on common emigration patterns. Anyway, they are fairly common names from that part of Ireland.
