We are finding a number of different genetic lines with the surname from Ireland, and a family crest only belongs to one lineage. If there is one for a Bowe line in Ireland (I haven't seen one, anyone else?), then we need to establish which genetic line the crest was originally attributed to. It wouldn't have any significance for any other genetic Bowe lines. You will find commercial websites online that advertise products, including family crests and surname histories. They will show you a crest for the surname Bowe from England. As yet, we don't have any data connecting any Bowe lineage in Ireland to any Bowe family in England, especially not to a Bowe family to whom the crest was attributed.
