I checked to see when the fire was in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada. It was June of 1877. There is also a St. Johns, Newfoundland, Canada. They had a fire, too. So if you could be a little more specific maybe we can find them. Some dates would help. Judy ps My grandfather was a Bowe from Cumberland, England. Came to America with parents in 1888.
