HI: I'm trying to find my 2nd great grandmother's family. Her name was Christena (nicknamed Tena, Tenah, etc.) Bowe born in the 1830s or so and her husband was Bedford Enoch, also born ca. 1832. Her father was Andy Bowe who was probably born around 1800. I believe they were all born in North Carolina. Bedford and Tena moved to Clark County, Ohio around 1900. They did not return to NC and are buried in OH. Bedford died in 1912 and Tena died in 1923. I need to research and find out if Tena had siblings and who her mother was. All leads appreciated. Unfortunately my info is very sketchy so I have very little to trade. I did find a WB Bowe who owned slaves in the 1850 and 1860 slave schedules. Kberry

The first wife died and most of the children moved to the southern USA and became mill owners. His second wife(name not readable) was Henry's mother. When she was elderly she went to live with Henry in Haverhill, Massachusetts. She died at Henrys home and was buried in Bradford, Massachusetts. I have as Henrys siblings a George, Timothy,Alexander,Ida,Sara,Handy,Louis. I have Mary Flood(wife)b January 6,1848. Henry and Mary had 10 children. Four died in infancy, the others were George,Frank,Marion,Catherine(my great grandmother),Arthur,Sarah. I have some spouses and childrens names for Henrys children. Was Henry born in 1848? His brother Timothy was born in 1842. BUT I show their father as Will Bowe who had 5 children with his first wife and then 14 children with the second wife. There is one other possibility - the 4th child with the second wife was named John and he was born in 1839 - so maybe that is the right John. So what are the years they were born? The stone mason connection means that it must be the same family. There is still a bridge in Digby that was built by the Bowes! And I have lots more info - but let's be sure we have a match first.
