Her sisters were Ellen (Rooney) Bowe [b ca 1816] and Mary (Rooney) Curran [b ca 1819]. According to Johanna's obituary, she was born in County Kilkenny, Ireland and her father was John Rooney. All three of the sisters lived in Wisconsin in the 1850's and 1860's and then settled with their respective families in Waseca County, Minnesota at various times between 1867 and 1875. I'm looking for any information on the immigration and the parents of these Rooney sisters. Thanks for any help you can give! Because his widow is in the 1920 Pike County Ky. census.However I can't find what happened to her after that.
