A John Lawrence and an Ellen Bow. wit to marr of Thomas Carter and Bridget Walshe in 1845 When Bridget Walsh bpt.1823 dau. of Wm Walsh and Biddy Bowe....her sponcers were Michael and Catherine Bowe. Michael Bowe and Bridget Tobin bn circa 1775 marr. approx. 1794 , (no record of this marr. which perhaps means they might have come from Kilkenny ??? ) BUT !!!! their 1st child Elizabeth was bpt. 17 May 1795 in Ballinakill, . Dennis' wife, Ellen Rooney, was Johanna's sister. I believe that Johanna and her sisters are also from County Kilkenny. Do you have any information on Dennis - like where in County Kilkenny he's from? Or when or where he was married or immigration date? I'm trying to determine who the parents were of my Johanna Rooney - father I believe was John - and where in County Kilkenny they're from - or actually, anything about the family.
