I'm new to this list, although I subscribe to several others. I am trying to assist an elderly friend with some family research. Does anyone on the list have any connection to the BOWDEN family in Cheshire or Derbyshire in England? The family which we are looking for is from Marple, which is on the border of these two counties. We have:- George BOWDEN married Mary HILL and had a son, Samuel Hill, born 23 October 1847 Samuel Hill BOWDEN married Elizabeth Nuttall TOMLINSON(born 1854) and had James, 1873 George, 1875 Mary,1877 Marina, 1883 If any of these are familiar to you, I would be really pleased to hear from you Regards Val Morrison
