    2. Katherine, Be sure to check Bowdoin College in Maine, They do have some family trees. I have talked to them in the past and they were very helpful even though my Bowdoin/Bowdon/Bowden families were not there. When Bowdon families got to the U.S. there seems to have been a split north and south. My Bowdon family lived in various places in the south. Bowdoin's can be seen in Maine and Massachusetts and lots more.
