    3. Hi Karen, I have Thomas N. Bowden b. abt 1800 as the eldest son of William Bowdon (b. abt 1773 in North Carolina; d.1842) and Nancy Wiggins (abt 1776-1860). The parents died in Coffee County, Tennessee, having settled in a part of Bedford County which later became part of Coffee. I'm descended from Thomas's brother Travis (b. abt 1810, d. 1850). Thomas's seven living children were named in a petition relative to settlement of his father William's estate. Named were Jordon, John O., Benjamin, Nancy V. , Josephine, James K. and Lafayette. Please e-mail me directly if you would care to correspond.
