    3. 1. Bowdens of MA Circa 1900 (manaia alofa) (sntommy@comcast.net) I have a Susan Bowden b. 1829 MD. Married 1847 Richland Co, OH to Stephen Van Camp They were living in Allen Co, IN 1860. He enlisted in the Civil War Union Army and was killed 1864. Could your James be related to Susan. /Stephen and Susan were my gr, gr grandparents. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Louisa Bowden Booth is my great grandmother. I live in the Fall River, MA area where they all lived. James and Amelia Bowden (her maiden name Oldham) both died there in 1866 and are buried in North Burial Ground there. I have details, parents names etc. They came from England, unknown what area. I find no census reports on Thomas or Louisa until 1880 Census. James and Amelia had their grown children all living in MA at some point, I have details and names of children, death/burial data, etc. I do not find James and Amelia on the Census rolls, either. Tell me what you want, and how much detail. Thanks for information on Esther Bowden's maiden name, Marsden (also my married name but no relation that I know). I trace her as a child back through the Census reports. I have my tree on Ancestry.com (Bullock Tree) if you have access to it. ------------------------------ ****
