My only hope in all this posting that I do is for at least one person to make a connection. There is no society that I know of. It is just me transcribing stuff I find. I found all the records in Monroe County, Georgia when I was there last month. They had a folder on the Bowdoin's and I just could not pass it by. None of them are my particular Bowdoin family but I know they come from mine somewhere. I have a few other newspaper article to type up and I will be finished with that folder. There were, however a lot of copies of original deeds, marriages, wills etc. I sent them all to a wonderful fellow Bowdoin researcher who is going to go thru them and digest them. I will send her a copy of your e-mail and have her watch for your names in those papers. She should receive them early next week as I just mailed them yesterday. NOW.....my BEST suggestion is for everyone to post their queries to the listserv. I am having difficulties getting people to post to the listserv. Don't know why. But, my thinking, that someone will either see it or else someone will see it in the future. I have had people contact me even as much as a year or so after a query I had posted. Ruth
