He moved from Granville Co to Randolph Co NC and later to Georgia where he married a widow. From Georgia he moved to Conecuh Co, Alabama, where he died in 1821. His children (mother's names not indicated): Pleasant Bowdoin Mary Bowdoin married Gideon Macon July 4, 1786 Granville Co, NC Elizabeth Bowdoin married John Macon July 3, 1786 Granville Co, NC Martha (Patsy) Bowdoin born November 13, 1768, died November 1800; married Isaac Ocell, 1790 John Bowdon, son of William and Elizabeth, born probably in Virginia, will dated 2 Jan 1823 in Granville Co, NC; married Judith (author says Farrar); children: John Boweon Fanny Bowdon, married Williams Elizabeth Bowdon, married Bobbite Mary Bowdon, married Allen Sally Bowdon, married Hilliard [This is my line] Rebecca Bowdon, married Davis Cooper Travis Bowdon, son of William and Elizabeth, died 1803-5 Kershaw District SC; married first spouse who was mother of children; married (2) Penelope. Children: William Bowdon (probably others) William Bowdon, son of Travis and unknown first wife, died c1827 in Oglethorpe Co, GA. Wife unknown. Children: James Bowdoin Sr Simon Bowdon (perhaps others) James Bowdoin Sr was born c1765 in Granville Co, NC. He married Priscilla Williams Oct 29 1785.
