This is my first posting to the list and I am doing so on behalf of Rod Bowden who has hit an extra thick wall in his research. Rod contacted me as I am researching the BULL family in Shropshire. I am unable to assist him but offered to post details of the family he is researching in the hope that someone may be able to offer suggestions, or hopefully be connected with this family. William BOWDEN (born c1803 died c1880) married Mary BULL (born c1810 died 4th Sept. 1895 - probably San Francisco) Birthplace unknown, although could have been Ireland as they sailed together with one child from Dublin 5th March 1833 aboard 'Strathfieldsay', arriving in Hobart, Tasmania 26th June 1833. Children: Joseph b.1833 died December 1907, San Francisco, U.S.A. Andrew b. 1835, Hobart, died January 1913, Caulfield, Victoria, Australia. Ellen b.1837, Hobart, died January 1911, San Francisco. (Married name SIMMONS) Esther b.1840 Hobart, died 1844 William b.1844, Hobart (?Sydney), died June 1926. San Francisco Mary b. c1845 Hobart, died October 189, San Francisco (Married name REDFIELD) Jane b.1845 Hobart, date of death unknown, probably USA Mary Lea, N.S.W. Australia
