Every little bit I put my plea for information on Major and Colonel Bowden who lived in Cumberland County, NC in the 1800's. I don't know if they were ranks or if they were named Major and Colonel. Sarah Bowden married my ggggrandfather and became my ggggrandmother in 1840, the parents of Charity Ann Wright. I believe that Sarah's mother's name was Sally but not real sure as I lost a lot of my information somewhere on the i'net highway. Hiram Wright signed a bond for one of the Bowdens to marry, and they in turn signed a bond for him to marry who I suspect was their sisters. He married 3 Bowden women. Anyone able to help?
