Every little bit I put my plea for information on Major and Colonel Bowden who lived in Cumberland County, NC in the 1800's. I don't know if they were ranks or if they were named Major and Colonel. Sarah Bowden married my ggggrandfather and became my ggggrandmother in 1840, the parents of Charity Ann Wright. I believe that Sarah's mother's name was Sally but not real sure as I lost a lot of my information somewhere on the i'net highway. Hiram Wright signed a bond for one of the Bowdens to marry, and they in turn signed a bond for him to marry who I suspect was their sisters. He married 3 Bowden women. Anyone able to help? Hello. I am looking for information on my great-aunt, Florence E. STALLARD and her husband, Henry Albert BOWDEN, both of Bristol originally. They went to Manchester where Henry worked as a lithographer, artist and/or printer. The family was listed in the 1901 census as living in Stretford nr. Manchester. JAMES BOWDEN married FRANCES BABB December 7th, 1826, in Bedminster Old Church, Bristol, UK. They had twelve children all born in roughly the same part of Bristol. I cannot find anything at all about JAMES BOWDEN - parents/siblings are a mystery. I am assuming that he was born Abt 1805 as I have him on the 1851census stating he was 46.
