    3. Good Morning Merri, I am also interested in information concerning the Bottorff families. My primary interest lies with John W. Bottorff who married Elizabeth Graves on March 29, 1837 in Clark County, Indiana. John and Elizabeth had one son, John Wesley Bottorff, before they divorced, or he died, or ???? On May 11, 1845 Elizabeth Bottorff married Jacob Deuser. In the 1850 Clark County census they are listed as family #846 with the Deuser name spelled Duser. Young John is in the household as a 13-yr-old, and there are 2 younger children, Mary and David M. I need to know if the older John died leaving Elizabeth a widow before she married Jacob Deuser. I also need documentation on John Bottorff's parents. Other researchers think the older John was the son of Martin Bottorff, but I am looking for proof. A family chart available from LDS gives this information, but, of course, that may be an error. If you have any information concerning this family, I will greatly appreciate hearing from you. Family sickness prevents me from researching as much as I would like to, but I do try to read most of the emails on this list. Everyone is very helpful. 1. Re: [BOTTORFF] Batdorf book correction!
    2. If you analyse these names, Armilda was probably called Isabell, Milburn Marion was probably William M. and David was probably called Daniel. They are all of the ages the others were. I have several families where different names were used in various census'. There are no Scott Co. marriages online, but I would suggest you contact Susan at [email protected] She has offered lookups for Scott Co. marriages. You might find the children married under the names of that 1850 census.
