Does anyone know if the 1830 Census index is on the net so I can look up this information? If not, could someone see if they can find a KEAS or variant (KIAS/KEYES). I know that a David KEAS had a family in Rutherford County. He died in abt 1818 and in 1840 census his widow is living with Paschal BOTTOMS who married one of their daughters. People whom I believe to be Paschal's brothers and father were on the 1830 Rutherford County census but no Paschal. I didn't think to look for the KEAS while I was at the library. It dawned upon me that the 1830 census might have him helping the KEAS and being there when the census was taken. I don't think he got married until about 1835 and purchased land in Wilson County. So I am not sure they would be in Wilson or Rutherford. I would appreciate any help someone might give me on this. I am trying to learn as much as possible about this family now so that I can look for specific information when I take my vacation in Tennessee in late June. I am hoping to stop by Rutherford County Courthouse and spend a day at TSLA in Nashville. Harvey L. Bottoms
