The below item taken from "William and Mary Quarterly Historical Magazine" Vol 22, No 2 (Oct 1913, p 119), by Nath Wilkerson and John Watkins: "May 5, 1784.- Wm Harden of St Paul to Thos Tucker 50 a. adj. Wm Row, Davis Blackwell road leading to Bottom's bridge. Jno Adams, Eliabeth Clarke, Jno. Holland" The above is from "Hanover Co Records. Was the area around Bottom's bridge ar one time in Hanover Co? If it is the same bridge, we can date back to 1784 (does anyone have data to support an earlier date?) regards Bill bbottoms@shore.intercom.net
