Dear Donald: My beloved wife, now deceased was Ruth Dalton Bottoms the daughter of Wilbur H. Bottoms. Her grandparents were Robert Lee Bottoms (1863-1932) and Maggie Eugenia Chenault (1867-1953) from Richmond VA and Henrico Co., VA. Robert Lee's father was John Thomas Bottoms who married Anne Hannah Truman in Henrico Co., VA on 6 March, 1850. My wife's father always said that he was part Indian but he could not porvide any more detail.. Is there a possible connection here and with your Bottoms Family.
