Dear Jewel, Thank you so much for contacting me. I am particularly excited about hearing from you because in over 20 years you are the first person who possibly thinks that my Frances (Bottoms) Sims might be related to this particularly Bottoms family. Since I have never come up with anything concrete directly connecting her, I have looked very hard at their, (Malachi and Frances (Bottoms) Sims, surroundings wherever they lived. And sure enough, in every situation, this same Bottoms family turns up near them. Did you have any thoughts on the Mary A. that lived with them in Barbour CO. AL at the time of the 1850 census? She and Frances were both born in SC and she was only a few years older than Frances. Do you know where in SC this Bottoms line might originate or come from? Have you come across any Sims connections in your Bottoms and Hartsfield lookings? Frances and Malachi had to have some association with the Hartsfield's since they were married by J.H. Hartsfield in Pike CO. GA. Yes, Jewel, I deffinately intend to keep in touch. Please let me know if you find out anything on Frances' connection. She is one of my long lost links, and I put finding out about her at the to of my ancestor priority list.
