Dear Steve and Betty and list, I was out of town when all the William Bottoms questions hit but I can verify one. William (Pete) Bottoms 1865-1937. I knew him. 1865 is the right date even though his stone days 1875. Aunt Sally Deyling always said, "I know, I was the baby of the family." He was the bachelor son of John A and Minerva Crouse Bottoms. He too had a brother named Thomas Bottoms, my grandfather. I have told Betty that I bet our families are related but I do not know how. We both had a Thomas and a William and in the next generation we both had an Oscar if I remember right, I know there were two, one in my family and the other not in my family. If John and Nancy Bottoms had a William I do not have him. That might be the missing connection. Betty's family and my family not only both lived in Lawrence County, AR, but in the same area. Sorry for getting in late. Tom Baird
