Hello All, Can anyone tell me more about Mary Briggs Bottom Smith? I believe she was the daughter of Thomas Bottom b 1745 Amelia Co, Va married ca 1767 died before 19 Jan 1788 - spouse: Lyddia. Mary was born b ca 1775 Amelia Co, VA - married Thomas Smith 12 June 1797 Jefferson Co, TN. Mary and Thomas Smith may be my great-great-great-great Grandparents. I'm trying to find out more about this couple. Some family members believe that a child living in their household (1850 Cocke County, TN) was their child and our descendant. It's doubtful because Mary would have been in her 50's and Thomas in his 60's when this boy was born. Perhaps they are his Grandparents. I have a lot of information on Thomas Smith. He was a famous Baptist Preacher who preached a sermon on his 100th birthday. I have much on his children. If anyone can tell me more about Mary and Thomas and their children I would appreciate it!
