The Bottoms moved to the Portia area of Lawrence County, AR, after the birth of James but before the 1860 census. They went back to TN (I believe Gibson County) for a year. Mary was born there. My mother thought James died there since his grave is not marked in the Opposition Cem. All I know for sure is that he did not make the 1870 census. When they came back they lived near Opposition, Lawrence County, AR, a town that no longer exists. Anyone looking for the Opposition Cemetery should start at Ravenden, AR and ask for directions. The cemetery is still active. They were back in time for all the other children to be born near Opposition, Lawrence, AR. All but James and Johnny are burried there. I can somewhat do the families of all those who had families. My ancestor is Tom Bottoms. I have details on that one. Tom Baird
