Just a curious note that Edmund Longbottom was master of the ship Leviathan who came up the James River. While not specifically identified, this is where Surry County is located. The date of this is 1710 and could potentially be where our Longbottoms were introduced into Virginia. As mentioned there is nothing absolute here but just the possibility. Harvey
