Hello Listmembers: Vacation time was just great and I realize that many of you will also be leaving for your various vacations also. This allows for a slack time in the list activity. As I have noticed that there has been little activity, I am assuming that many of you are already out enjoying yourselves. For the benefit of those who are still with us, lets have a roll call to get some queries on these lists. We will run the roll call from tonight (Friday) the 15th of June at midnight through next Saturday the 23rd of June at midnight. Just a few quick reminders on placing queries for the mailing lists, just to make it run smoothly. FIRST AND FOREMOST--DON'T SEND THE POST TO ME PERSONALLY, SEND IT TO THE LIST. 1. Please remember to use the subject line effectively. 2. Include any name(s) that you might have 3. Include any time periods or if they are estimates please let us know. 4. Make sure to include any locations or migrations that you are aware of. 5. Make certain to make clear just exactly what type of info you are searching for. 6. Please place the SURNAME in capital letters and not the whole post, as this makes the surname stand out. 7. When placing a query on more then one person or couple, please use different postings. There is no limit to the number of postings that you may place. 8. Include as much info as possible in order to have the best chance for a response. 9. Please attempt to answer as many queries as you might have information for. 10. MOST IMPORTANTLY-- REMEMBER TO THANK ANYONE ANSWERING YOUR QUERY-- What they send NOW, might not be much, but if they are not thanked for it, then later if they find something substantial....they might be reluctant to send it to you. PARTICIPATING IN THE ROLL CALL IS OPTIONAL AND NOT MANDATORY, IF YOU FEEL THAT YOU DON'T NEED TO POST AT THIS TIME, THEN DON'T FEEL FORCED TO. Good Luck to Everyone in your searching.
