Married to Anne Susan Deborah Picot, a native of Jersey, one of the Channel Islands (1802-1866) Parents of Jean Richard were Laurent Bot (Born June 20, 1755) in Alderney and his wife Margaret Herivel. There were twelve children born to this family: Laurent, Marguerite, Laurent (2) Rachel Marie, Rachel (2) Elizabeth, Elizabeth (2) Jean Richard, Susanne, Guillaume, Thomas and Pierre Bot.
