There would be two places for Boston vital records before 1910: Massachusetts Archives at Columbia Point 220 Morrissey Boulevard Boston, MA 02125 617-727-2816 http://www.state.ma.us/sec/arc/ The above site will give you much more info but in case you only get eamil and can't browse the internet, I have cliped a portion from their web site below...... Certified copies of birth, death, and marriage records $3 each. Staff can do limited research to locate vital records requested by mail. No more than five certificates may be ordered at a time, and a separate check or money order for $3 should be enclosed for each certificate. Checks for names not found will be returned. Name, date of event, and place of event (or the best information you have) are needed to locate records. Please include your name, telephone number, and mailing address on all requests. Orders for certified copies are filled in the order received. and the other place is: Boston Registry of Vital Statistics Boston City Hall Boston, MA 02201 617-635-4175 I'm not sure what the current cost is, but it used to cost twice as much at the city as it was at the Columbia Point Archives ($6 vs. $3). In the past, the city has always been the faster of the two in responding. Some of the records I obtained from the city had more information than the record for the exact same individual from the Archives at Columbia Point. You can also get info through the Mormon Family History Centers - see http://familysearch.com/ It's always a good idea to mention any names in case someone on this list (SKS = some kind soul) can lookup something they may have ready access to.
