David, Rev. Rufus W. Clark was installed as the pastor of the Maverick Church (Orthodox Congregationalist) in East Boston on Dec 3, 1851. He served in that capacity until April 8, 1857. He was then installed in Brooklyn, New York, over the South Congregational church. The Maverick Church at the time off his ministry, was located on the corner of Sumner St at Maverick Square.
