Hello. I have a location for a grave for someone in my family. The location numbers are gr39-40 rg31 sec3, then on the next line it says open 39. Also with the copy of my relatives location, I have nine other names, with the same location numbers gr 39-40 rg 31 sec 3, some say open 39 and some say open 40. Would there be ten people buried in this one plot, I have no idea who the other nine people are. Any information on this will be appreciated. also the first person buried, was in 1878, and the last person buried was in 1972. Best wishes. Bob.
Lots are often as many as 12 grave sites which if the first person in the site is buried deeper asa second may be put on top, not allowed in all places. as to the meaning of your numbers I haven't as clue.
