Jim This was not from the brown (often called Tan) books published by places like the NEHGS of vital records to 1850, thes are from a book published by the Records Commisioners of the City of Boston. The other books include many things from private sources that are not in the town or city records. These are just the ones in the City records. I would assume that there would be about 50% more if they used private records like family bibles, Ect. to collect them. Thank yu for this oppertunity to let the rest of the members of the list have a little more background on the records. I plan on making up a page sometime as to why there are a lot of errors in the records found on the internet (this includes my web site). With not being able to go to each town and check out each record all I can go by is what as published. If an origional record does not contain all the informatin I can not include it. Jim, may I ask where your web site is with all the things that you typed up to share on the internet?
