Am looking for data on LYNCH family emigrated to greater Boston area circa 1840 from Lismore Parish, Ballyduff Mor area, County Waterford. By 1850 through marriage the following surnames are linked CHAMBERS, CODY, FITZGERALD. One family group, was turned away due to Cholera on board at Boston in 1847; earlier immigrants were awaiting them. These emigrants were John and Anastasia nee LYNCH CHAMBERS and other family members of the LYNCH family. They were left in New Brunswick, Canada. This group made there way back to family in Boston. Some worked briefly at Lawrence, MA, going to western MD. The MD and MA families maintained close family ties to approximately the 1950s. Other MA areas are Salem and Malden (SP?).
