    1. Boston- LYNCH, CHAMBERS, CODY, FITZGERALD
    2. Lucy, Thanks for reminder jog. We are in Ireland at least twice a year since we (husband and I) have family in Mayo and County Wexford. Therefore, we have done a lot of research in Waterford re: LYNCH/CHAMBERS. Baptismal, marriage and land records. We have on the CHAMBERS surname for Michael A. CHAMBERS and first wife Elizabeth FITZGERALD Irish birth records for Michael, 1870 census data, complete Civil War Records and a small amt. of US Navel Records. From oral history we know he had 2 daughters from first marriage who after wifes death in 1870s were first placed in care of his sister Margaret nee CHAMBERS CODY and her husband Patrick. Later, were cared for by a cousin who lived in the greater Boston area, name unknown. (SEEKING THIS UNKNOWN RELATION AND DATA ON THESE CHILDREN) From 1870/1880/1900/1910 census we have record of Margaret and Patrick CODY and their 9 children. He was a publish poet, and a publisher. In the 1930s, for his family he wrote the CODY pedigree. Have numerous poems which he composed for family events in MA and MD. Patrick CODY was born in MA in 1850 to Michael CODY and Margaret LYNCH. This couple was also from Lismore Parish area of County Waterford, their family were tenants on the estate known as Moore Hall which to date remains in the ownership of the same family. Surname has changed D/T Marriage. Seeking birth/baptismal records for Mary Regina CHAMBERS, Anastasia and Brigetta CHAMBERS (twins), Margaret CHAMBERS, Elizabeth CHAMBERS. All born in MA after 1848 and before 1852. Religion Catholic. Parents John and Anastasia nee LYNCH CHAMBERS. Have girls confirmation certificates from MD. Also, newspaper articles re: wedding announcements for Mary Regina, Brigetta, and Elizabeth. Obit for Anastasia's tragic death in C&O canal lock at 12 yrs. of age. Anastasia may have had siblings who remained MA, i.e., Honor married name unknown and possibly James. Her parents may have brought the couples 3 sons all born in County Waterford over in 1850, names James and Ellen nee LANE LYNCH; born circa 1795 in County Waterford. James died in the 1870s and Ellen about 1888. Can find no records in MD so perhaps remained with relatives in MA. The sons brought over were Thomas J., Michael A. and John B. Family settled in western MD about approx. 1850. Have all the Civil War records, census records and John B's wedding, election notice, obits. Correspondence, newspaper clippings show the MA families and MD families remained close to about 1950. Seeking CODY, LYNCH, LYNCH and FITZGERALD descendants who might still be living in MA. Would like to share data and find the missing record data in MA. What is available on line, mail request/fee, and where to seek on person visit.
