Christine, The Boston Public Library has "old" Boston Newspapers and has done searches for obituaries for me. Their Net site is www.bpl.org If one is a member one might be able to search online. I am not a member so I have not done such and do not know if the old newspapers are online. Their section on Questions tells one that calling is the quickest but that same section has a place to write and send one's question in. Their answers are on a first come, first serve.
