Bethel McLeod (a semi professional boxer form Saint John NB)... married a Mary Josephine ? were living at 27 Wexford St Boston on June 13 1917 when he signed up for enlistment in Canadian forces for World War I... sustained an amputation of right leg below knee as result of shell shrapnel..and in 1918 she was living at 127 Victoria St Saint John New Brunswick.. Further records indicate that a letter was sent to her in Boston but returned on Sept 30 1918 indicating that she was deceased.. it appears that she died sometime while he was in the war between 1917 and Oct 1918.who is this Mary Josephine and when and how did she die..
