    1. [BOSTON] St. Joseph's Cemetery

    3. Hello, ListFolks! Our family needs your help in locating a "St. Joseph's Cemetery" somewhere in the Boston area... our elderly Aunt has asked that when her time comes, she be buried with her parents. I have an envelope (empty) with the return address of John W. Lavery and Son, Funeral Directors, 54 A Street, South Boston and 869 Dorchester Ave, Dorchester. Typed on the back of the envelope is the name of my grandmother and the date of her interrment (9 Jan 1916). Also named is an infant interred in the same plot (7 June 1911) Above these names is the name of my grandfather and the words "St Joseph". I know that my grandfather is buried beside my grandmother - and what is frustrating is this - I visited that very cemetery four or five years ago, and can't for the life of me remember the name of the town it's in! All I remember is that the cemetery is located in a lovely suburban area off a rather splendid boulevard. My grandparents lived in South Boston, so that should narrow down the "geography" a bit. In the back of my mind (such as it is!) I'm thinking that maybe "St Joseph's" has been renamed. Many thanks for helping! Marge Reid
