Seeking information on two people who lived in Boston in the early part of the last century and at least until 1930: JOHN W. CONNELLY, an ATTORNEY who represented my grandfather in court...my g'father was a bit of a gangster...really! I would like to know more about John W. Connelly, like if he was high priced attorney or got paid by the city to represent indigents. JACOB RUBINSKY, a GROCER from Russia. A Yiddish family that included his wife Mollie and his children Sarah, Mary and Joseph. (Joseph born 1901, died in Brighton 8/23/76...would like to see his obituary). Jacob posted $1,000 bail for my grandfather in 1923; my grandfather skipped town so I'm assuming Jacob lost his $1,000! Did Jacob regularly post bail for gangsters or could there be a connection between this man and my Sicilian/Catholic grandfather? Any information on these people will be appreciated.
