To have an elusive ancester is a frustrating ordeal. My gggreatgrandfather Asaph BLAISDELL m. ?Sally CLOWE PAGE BLAISDELL.of Boston. One census 1830 ,NorthEnd Boston. I've researched all 6 children and one dau. by Sally PAGE'S first husband Benjamin PAGE Jr.m. 1809.Boston. Asaph and Sally's first ch.my gg, Jacob Clough BLAISDELL was b. 1822 m. Lydia BURDITT of Malden.2nd Marguerite LAWLER,of Roxbury Other,ch. Zilpha,m. Henry D. HUSTON, Aaron,d. 20 years old. John H.m. Susan BLODGETT of Bedford. William, m. Catherine MANNING. MaryAnn b. Dover. 1832.m. John F. BANNISTERSomerville. Three years ago I found ch. recorded in Bridgewater.,Ma. Asaph left no paper trail. He died outside of Ma. Sally ,his wife, died in Somerville.1857.I've researched her line of descent back to Robert BRONSDON 1600's Norfolk, England. I have graph from Everett Cemetary.20 ancestors, No Asaph'. Asaph is an unique name. Zilpha's death certificate states Asaph was b. in Chelmsford. The b.date would of been in late 1700's. On Jacob's death ,it stated Asaph b. Manchester, Ma. I don't think there was a surname change. Anyone with any idea or early BLAISDELL'S from these areas, books that might have early info. I'm open to any help or ideas. BFNA. has no info on Asaph. Asaph paid taxes at 7 Hanover Ct. in NorthEnd. till 1849.His name wasn't listed in Suffolk Registry of Deeds. Then Sally was pencilled in till 1862. Erastus Bartholemew owned property. I'll appreciate any assistance. Regards, Joan
