Benjamin EDWARDS. ,a prominent citizen of Boston. one of the founders of the new brick church. ,Was first a sea captain, later a merchant. His first home after marriage was an estate adjoining the BRONSDON'S. from which he removed to Salem St. formally Green Lane. Family bible: "Benjamin EDWARDS (1st)Born Dec. 15, 1685 Departed this life Aug 26, day 1751 in the 66th year of his age. was buried in his tomb in The North Burying place in Boston" Benjamin EDWARDS (1st)was married to Bathsheba EVANS datter of Capt.
