Thompson was born ca. 1837 /1838 claims to have been born in Boston ,MA but no record has been found in archives . Father : William , mother Eliza (beth) or Margaret (surname unknown) . He has a history (m. 1859 in Granby,Hartford,CT) Emily J. COWDRY dau. Phelps and Emily HOLCOMB. Also does have records in Hampden county , and Boston area. I am very curious now after finding the following : THOMPSON 3-William, D.D. (1806-89), A B., Union, '26, grad. Andover Theol. Sem., 1832, pres. Theol. Inst. of Conn., 1858-88, m Eliza Wells, dau. Daniel But- ler.
