In hopes of getting access to an original birth certificate, I may petition the Suffolk Probate & Family Court to open the restricted-access records of a paternity or an adoption proceeding that took place in 1915 or soon thereafter. I'd like advice from people who've succeeded with such a petition on the best way to word the petition. I'd also like to know how receptive that court now is to granting such petitions.
