Hi, My name is Lilly Murphy. I am researching my husband's g,g,g, grandparents William MCKENNA and Katherine LANDERS MCKENNA who lived in Charlestown in between 1847-1849. They had two children born in Charlestown during this period: Robert MCKENNA, Christening: 27 MAY 1847 and Katherine MCKENNA,Christening: 12 MAR 1849 They had a son, John born in Ireland in 1845 and a daughter Mary born Scotland in 1846. By 1850 they had moved on to Cleveland were the rest of their children were born. I would like to find additional information about them. I believe they arrived in Boston in May 1846 (from naturalization records) but haven't been able to find them in a passenger list. Are City directories available for the 1847-1849 time period? Where would Boston ship records for 1846 be located? I would like to find out if they were perhaps living with relatives during their time in Charlestown. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
