I have just started working on my ancestors in Abington and it appears as if most worked either as a shoemaker or "at the boot factory". So far I have the following Abington surnames connected to my STEWART ancestors: CLARK, RUSSELL, MEARS, TIRRELL 1860 and up. Was there one big shoe factory? Any connections to the surnames? Wally
