Hello listers, My name is Norman Archibald, i am an Australian, and new to your list. Can anyone on the list tell me whether "Cedar Grove cemetery", Boston, has an email address. The half brother of my great grandfather was buried in "Cedar Grove Cemetery" in 1885, after a service in "Paine memorial Hall", Boston. His name was John Showler VERITY. I am trying to discover whether John`s grave has a headstone, and if so, what is written on same. I would also like to know what John`s connection was with "Paine Memorial Hall". According to newspaper articles of the day, John was buried over 2 consecutive Sundays from "Paine Hall". Also, according to newspaper articles he was a member of the "Free Thinkers Party". A newspaper article on his death states the following : "He was much interested among other business in the work of the society at Boston Paine Memorial Hall". Would anyone on the list know what society they are referring to in the article.? Is there anyone on the list who could look for John`s burial place in "Cedar Grove", and check for a head stone, i would be very grateful.
