We would all like a hard copy burial record such as a bible record or cemetery plot abstract,or a tombstone where the letters aren't eroded off, but none exists. Andrew Sitz died in 1851 and tradition here in AL states that he and Mary are buried on land he and his son John Sitz (Sitz is the spelling used almost exclusively by the family after coming to AL.)owned, that was later donated/sold to what is now Old Harmony Baptist church up on top of Lookout Mt. in Gadsden, AL., and are both in unmarked graves. This is not unusual as there a number of Sitz here whose graves will never be found. His son Jonathan Sitz, and Jonathan's son Levi, all are in unmarked graves. Lack of tombstones are quite common in all families. One old timer Sitz remembers some people who were caretakers of Old Harmony's cemetery saying that they were going to clean up old Uncle Andy Sitz' grave. The monument in St. Paul's was as indicated, erected by Bost Descendants in the 1970's (I believe)listed all Johan Wilhelm Bost's children and their spouses and does not mean they are buried there. Wm.'s son John Bost, b. 1773, married Alice- and went to TN, and was found for a time in AL., and Wm.'s daughter Margaret, married Adam Winkler and removed to KY. John Bost and his sister Margaret, and their spouses died elsewhere and their names appear on the monument as well, along with Magdalena Bost and Andrew Seitz. Some kind NC resident who has been to St. Paul's sent pics of the monument and the monument looks as just that, a monument in memory of Johan Wm. Bost... and then has a list of his children's names and spouses. It is a monument not a mass grave marker. Families were often too poor to put headstones up, let alone transport their loved ones after death back across 2 states so they could rest at the old homeplace. I would recommend changing your info to reflect that Andrew and Mary are buried in Old Harmony Cemetery, Lookout Mt., in Gadsden, AL. Hope this helps.
