I did a census search and found on the 1910 Census Columbia Co. Hudson NY ward 5 Dist. 25 I couldn't read the street address. Edward F. Bost was listed as age 27, black and a Janitor born in North Carolina. His wife is listed as Sarah E. age 27 and son James is age 10/12 ---------- On the 1900 census Edward Bost was in Cabarrus Co. NC Smith Twp. He is listed as Nephew , black and living with James Bost also black and born 1860 in NC. It appears to me that at some point he will tie in with the other Bost families both black and white who lived in NC starting in the late 1700-early 1800's.
