Elias is the son of William Bost, ( 1738/39, PA- abt 1823, Lincoln County, NC) He married Katherine Guthhart ( Godheart) on 1/19/1762 in Anson County, NC. William is the son of Johannes Bast, the immigrant, and his unknown 1st wife. William is the half-brother of my GGGG-grandfather, Elias Bost (1747-1822). William Bost is listed in the DAR Patriot Index as providing goods and services to the Revolutionaries ( PS, Patriotic Service).
