Your 5th great-grandfather, William Bost, born abt 1737 in PA, is the half-brother of my 4th great-grandfather, Elias Bast/Bost, born 1747 in PA. William, and his sister, Anna Marie Bast, are the children of Johannes Bast, and his unknown first wife. Elias and the rest of the children are from the 2nd wife, Susanna Catharina Moyer, whom he married in PA. Johannes and his family moved to a land grant in North Carolina in 1754. I have a copy of the will of Johannes, as well as his estate sale records. William and his half-brothers served the cause of the Revolution.
