I've seen several references here that leads me to believe that some posters communicate privately after making contact. My opinion is that all genealogy data should be shared among the entire community. One never knows when some small tidbit of data, when posted to the List, will help out someone else tremendously. I try to add anyone in the larger family to my genealogy database and if users communicate privately off the List, I miss out on the information. Would appreciate it if everyone could continue to communicate here for all of us to see, UNLESS it's purely personal. I just don't think that exchanging genealogy data is personal.
