    3. Hello George, Seems you descend from both wives of Johannes Bast. William was a son of the unknown 1st wife, and John is the son of the 2nd wife, Susanna Catharina Moyer, daughter of Elias Myer and Anna Catharina. William is the half-brother of my 4th great -grandfather, Elias Bost, 1747-1822, and John is the full brother of Elias. >From: "George W. 3. George, Kent and I both decend from William Bost and Elizabeth Shive/Scheib. He, if I'm not mistaken, from their daughter Caroline who md. Henry and Catherine are buried at Emanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery in or near Indian Trail. I do not know where Paul and Caroline are buried. (Kent, if you are reading, I would like that info, if it is available) Wiliam Bost the son of Elias Bost and (K)Catherine --?--(Lyerly or Schlauch). 3. Hello David, I have Henry, Catherine, Paul, and Caroline all being buried at the Bost Cemetery, Midland, Cabarrus, NC. Somewhere on the web I found a cemetery mapping for that family cemetery and, supposedly, those four, plus several more, are buried there. ????? Sarge At 12/10/2006 07:13 PM Sunday, David W. 3. Hello Kent, I hadn't thought about that fact. So, I guess Conrad and Catherine were actually 1st Half-Cousins? (GRIN) Somewhere along the way I picked up the "unknown" 1st wife of Johann Wilhelm BAST, Sr., as one Mary KLEIN. Does anyone else have that? If so, is there any documentation for her name? I I have your g-g-g-g-grandfather Johann Elias BAST in my database, but only have a couple of generations of his descendants. Would love to add your branch/line down to you. 3. George, Help me out a little bit here... snip Geo. <Somewhere along the way I picked up the "unknown" 1st wife of Johann Wilhelm BAST, Sr., as one Mary KLEIN>snip The Johannes Bast (ca 1720-1777) who "may have" md. a Cline (daughter of Sabastian [K]Cline) as his first wife, did not have a given/middle name of "Wilhelm". How did you come to the conclusion that his middle name is Wilhelm??? In the baptismal records of his children and in his will, he is simply signed or was refered to as Johannes. This Johännes (no middle name) md. Susannah Catharina --?-- (possibly Moyer) as his "possible 2nd wife". As for the the 1st marraige to a "A daughter of Bostian Klein", refer to Mary Harlkley Russell's message from Tues, Dec 12. BUT be advised, this information should be concidered hearsay, until "we" find THE AUTHOR'S SOURCE of that information. - "The History of Grace Lutheran Church 1777 to 1899" by col. George M. Yoder". Also NOTE, not "everyone" agree's that Johann Wilhelm (md. Catherine Goodhardt) was the William named in the will and estate records of Johännes (ca 1720-1777). I have not researched William, but in my oppinion he "most likely" is the son, but there is just enough room for some doubt. Do any of the land records for William link him back to Mecklenburg/Cabarrus area? Bible records for Johannes (ca 1720-1777)? snip Geo. <Somewhere along the way I picked up the "unknown" 1st wife of Johann Wilhelm BAST, Sr., as one Mary KLEIN>snip Johann Wilhelm Bost (ca 1738/9-1822) md. Catherine Goodhardt. This Johann Wilhelm Bost might a Sr., but I have not researched this line. snip Geo. <I have your g-g-g-g-grandfather Johann Elias BAST in my database>snip Where did you obtain Elias Bost's (1747-1822) first/christian name of Johann? This Elias Bost md. Elizabeth --?-- (possibly Lyerle or Schlauch). I do not have any baptismal or church records for Elias. These records would most likely be at St. John's, Cabarrus, but I have not been able to search those (yet). I would be interested in this information, as "Elias" is my 5th g-g-father.
