He won the Monthyon prize around 1860. Maybe it would help if I identify the surnames that are stated at the end of the book. From 1859 to 1973, there were fifty-three descendants of Theodore and Sophie. They have grandchildren named Bishop or Johnstone and great grandchildren named Bishop, Benner, Montgomery, Hand, McKeeman, Rimpau, Thomas, Schaefer, Patton, Westlake, Mitchell and many others.
